Independence, resilience and a whole lot of fun! At Trafalgar School, every Year 7 student has the entitlement to experience our residential camp. Students will have the opportunity to build on existing friendships as well as forge new ones as they undertake a wide range of outdoor pursuits.

What happened last year?

Year 7 camp is an exciting outdoor adventure where students build confidence, make new friends, and develop teamwork skills through fun, challenging, and memorable activities.

Key information for Year 7 camp 2026:

Date: 22nd - 26th June 2026
Location: Lyons Copse campsite, Shedfield, Southampton
Equipment list: A full equipment list will be shared closer to the time, but students will be provided with tents and meals as part of the cost of the trip.
Camping arrangements: Students will stay in shared single-sex tents of 2–3 people. Closer to the trip, they’ll have the chance to indicate who they’d like to share with, and we’ll ensure tent groups are arranged so everyone feels comfortable and happy.
Cost: £95 total, to be paid between December - April on ParentPay
Deposit: £15 due by 1st December 2025
Payment support is in place for Service children and recipients of Free School Meals. Letters for these students have been sent separately, so please check communication from the school.
