NSPCC Number Day at Trafalgar on Friday 7th February!

The Maths Department ensured Trafalgar School went numbers crazy on Friday 7th February, in aid of the NSPCC. There was a Maths trail where staff wore numbers on the back of their badges that were the answer to mathematical questions. Students had fun finding the answer and then tracking down the right member of staff with that number. There was a tutor quiz where students were asked mathematical questions about the school ie the area of the hall, the number of classrooms and the average age of the staff in the maths department! Students were also able to win prizes by guessing the number of sweets in a jar for 20p, or finding the lowest unique number!

Since the launch of NSPCC Number Day 20 years ago, over 3,500 schools have got involved and raised nearly 2 million, and this money has been used to protect children from harm. It was a numbers frenzy here and a lot of fun was had by all using maths and raising funds for such a worthy charity. #mathscounts #usingnumberstohelpothers #teamtrafalgar
