Trafalgar School celebrates Women’s Sport Week 2017 (19 – 25 June)

Women’s Sport Week (WSW2017) is a national awareness week providing an opportunity for everybody involved with playing, delivering, working in, volunteering or watching sport to celebrate, raise awareness and increase the profile of women’s sport across the UK.

The female students and staff will be participating in all different kinds of sports after school this week to highlight the importance of celebrating women in sport, and of course to have fun and enjoy being active.

Despite the scorching temperatures, the Year 7s and 8s played a rounders match after school on Monday and were joined by Miss Nerssessian, Miss Alexander and myself.  The girls were a delight to watch, some showing off their sporting talents and others just enjoying the game, camaraderie and laughter.  Miss Alexander was also a star player scoring a few rounders for the teams. Thanks Miss Nerssessian for organising and well done ladies- ready, set, go girls!
