Remembrance is part of modern British life, culture and heritage. Remembrance Sunday, which falls on 11 November 2018, is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. Students and staff will observe a 2 minute silence at 11am on Friday 9th November, to reflect upon the huge loss and sacrifice made by those soldiers who gave themselves and their lives for others. Poppies are available from the front school reception for a donation.
Our staff and students are also grateful for the opportunity to be part of Portsmouth’s annual Remembrance Service in the Guildhall Square, this Sunday. As a school, it will give us great pleasure and pride to commemorate and celebrate all of those who gave so much by laying a wreath at the Cenotaph. #lestweforget
