Geography home learning success for Year 7s!

The headteacher was extremely pleased today to congratulate some of our Year 7s on their Geography home learning projects. Students had been asked to create a representation of some famous geographical locations in the world using whatever materials they wanted to work with.

Elsie-Rose Welton created a wonderful cake to depict the ‘Table Top Mountains’ in Arizona, USA. The cake looked amazing and I am sure will be just as amazing to eat! Jacob Woodward had created two cakes to represent ‘Lake Hillier’ in Australia, and also the ‘Chocolate Hills’ in the Bohol province of the Philippines. The Lake Hillier cake was very colourful and superbly shaped to mirror the outline of the lake and the chocolate hills also looked delicious. Albie Cawley also created two models of ‘Lake Hiller’ and of the ‘Crystal Caves’ in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico.

The effort and attention to detail demonstrated in the cakes and models was fantastic and a real credit to their determination to produce a high quality of homework. Well done to all three – Headteacher’s commendations will be coming your way. #aimhigh #aspiration #teamtrafalgar
